Mortgage 101–103: Understanding the Basics and Beyond
(3-Hour Elective CE Course)
This course is designed to give real estate professionals a solid foundation in mortgage fundamentals, helping them better support clients throughout the financing process. We’ll start with the basics—breaking down common mortgage terminology and exploring the most widely used loan types, including conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
We’ll also dive into the “Three C’s” of lending—credit, capacity, and collateral—and how they impact a buyer’s loan approval. In addition, the course covers less common and specialty lending scenarios such as manufactured homes, investment properties, and DPA (down payment assistance) programs.
Whether you’re new to real estate or looking to refresh your mortgage knowledge, this class will give you the tools to speak confidently with clients about financing options.
